My aunt, Mary, came to visit us from Tallahassee. It was a treat for us to have her here, it was the first time she'd met Addy! They got along quite well. Addy enjoyed the extra attention, hugs, and kisses!
Our Christmas was very relaxing. Christmas Eve we did a little shopping, mostly for groceries, then went to Church. We opened presents after church which was fun. Addy enjoyed the ribbons most of all. She liked the toys she got, but then when she was done and it was time for the rest of us to open gifts, she went off on her own to do some reading! So cute!
I really wanted Addy to have a "special" pair of Christmas pajamas to wear on Christmas Eve. Well, as you can see, she was really excited about wearing them! Steven said she looked like a boy. Well, she's practically a clone to her daddy, so what can you expect? The pajamas are cute, and they say "My First Christmas" on them! I like them.
Actually, this is kind of how this month has gone. She really does not like having to get her diaper changed or getting dressed. And she's not particularly excited about having her picture taken, either. Crazy girl.
Christmas morning we went to church and then opened up the gifts Santa left in our stockings! Steven, Addy and I got a new camera! This is very exciting to us because we really needed a new one. We love it. It takes pictures so much faster than our old one, not that that would be a hard feature to beat these days. It's just great. Thanks, Santa!
Notice Addy's happy theme in all these pictures? Oh well, it was fun anyway! I just have to say...I had black tights for Addy to wear with her Christmas dress, and I lost them after we had her picture taken with Santa last week! We went out to eat afterward, and I changed her in the restaurant and I'm pretty sure I lost them there. I didn't realize this, of course, until Christmas morning. :) So, thus the red tights. Not the look I was going for, but it worked in a pinch.
Hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas. We certainly were reminded how blessed we truly are! For me, I celebrated this Christmas from a different perspective, now being a mother myself. What a precious, wonderful gift to all of us!
