Easter Bunny Pictures

I took Addy to get her picture taken with the Easter bunny while Steven had softball practice a couple days ago.  She was beyond excited!  She wanted me to take pictures of her with nearly everything on display around the Easter bunny, too!

On our way out of the mall we stopped in a kid's clothing store and Addy wanted me to take her picture with nearly every accessory they sold.  We compromised and just took one in front of their display that was a huge picture of candy!

This girl is all sweet!  :)

Snow & Dance

Tuesday morning we pulled out of the garage to go to school.  Addy looked out the window and said, "Mom!  Look at all that snow!"  I laughed and stopped to take a picture of what she was so impressed by:

Then Addy had her normal dance class on Tuesday evening.  We got a copy of her recital music and I took a video of her teachers leading the class through their routine.  I had to video them from the side so it's not the best, but I thought it was better than nothing.  When we got home, I showed Addy the video.  She proceeded to practice on her own several times following the video and listening to the music in the cd player since you can't hear the music on the video.

I think she'll be well prepared for her recital in a couple more months!  It's so fun to see her excited to practice!

Palm Sunday

Addy dressed and ready for church!

Addy and the other children in our church walked in with palm branches on Sunday.  They were so cute and did such a great job!

After church we went out for Mexican and Grandma E. ordered fried ice cream.  It was so good!  Addy loves cherries!

The rest of the day was pretty relaxing since we were all worn out from her birthday party!  Oh, except for the fact that Steven and I ran 8 miles!  We're still training for the half marathon coming up at the end of April.  :)

Addy and Grandma spent the day together on Monday while Steven and I worked and then flew home in the evening.  We had a great visit with her and were so thankful she could be here to celebrate Addy's birthday!

Addy's 4th Birthday

Grandma E. flew in on Thursday night for a long weekend that included Addy's birthday!  Friday morning Grandma and Wendy accompanied Addy to school for her Easter egg hunt and party.  Addy felt so special having them there!

Friday evening Addy opened some birthday cards:

Then she showed me the goodies she got from her Easter egg hunt and party at school that morning!

Then it was time to start prepping for her birthday party.  Addy was excited to help out!  Pat and I were putting frosting on the nutter butter cookies to make them look like flip flops while Addy filled her piñata with candy.

Addy helped Grandma make blue jello, and then we added some Swedish Fish to make it look like a fish bowl:

The goodie bags for the kiddos:

Saturday morning (Addy's birthday) started with opening presents from Grandma and Grandpa E.

Then it was off to the dance studio since Addy had pictures for her dance recital.  I'm so excited for her because she's so excited about it.  Isn't she the cutest?

After pictures, we went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch.  They were very sweet and helped her celebrate her birthday too!

Once we got home it was nap time for Addy while the rest of us got ready for her party!  I'm so grateful for all the help we had!  Along with Steven and Pat my parents and Wendy were there to help out.  Addy is one very blessed little girl to have so many people wanting the best for her and to make sure she had a great birthday! My friend, Jessica, even came early so we could use her camera for the party since I dropped ours earlier in the week and broke it :(

Oh, and these are the invitations I made for her party:

Mackenzie made cake balls for us...you know, little beach balls!

And Chris made the cake.  He's so talented.  Addy loved it!

Addy was so surprised and excited when she woke up from her nap to see Grandma and Grandpa L and Wendy at the house!  She also enjoyed seeing the house decorated for her party and the bounce house in the back yard!  That was a big hit!  Shortly after she woke up her friends started arriving to bounce with her.

It certainly wasn't the warmest of days, it was in the low 50s and gloomy, but we were so thankful it didn't rain!  It worked well to have the bounce house and swingset for the kiddos to go between!
After playing outside for a while everyone came in to warm up and and refuel!  After everyone got something to eat, Addy opened her presents.  Classic for kids this age, they all wanted to help Addy open her presents!  They crowded around her and told her what was in their gifts before she could even open it.  It was a little chaotic, but cute at the same time.  :)

Can you believe it, we got all the kids to line up for a picture?!  L to R: Brycen, Kylee, Rex, Alli, Addy, Kelsey, Jake, and Andre.
After the presents were all opened it was time for cake.  It tasted as good as it looks!

Then everyone headed back outside for the piñata.  We really don't have a good place to hang it, so Steven just held it for the kids!  They only had to pull the strings off the bottom, so he wasn't in harms way!

Addy ended up pulling the string that made the bottom open up!

Sweet sweet sweet (Addy and Rex):

The kids played just a little bit more and then started leaving little by little.  Then it was time to take the bounce house down and return it.  Addy was really hoping we could've kept it!

After all our guests were gone, Addy opened her gifts from Grandma and Grandpa L.  She's all set for summer!

Grandma and Grandpa L. flew in just for the day to be here for Addy's birthday...don't worry, they had already planned to be here for Easter so they're coming back in a few days.

Happy 4th birthday Adeline Joy!  We love you more than you'll ever know!
