Our church held a soccer VBS again this year, and Addy was excited to go. It runs for 3 days, but she only attended the first day. She was headed to MN the next day (more on that next time). I helped out with Addy's group (4-5 year olds), and Steven helped the 6-7 year olds. It was fun!

At the end of the evening, a professional soccer player came to talk to the kids. He's from our area and plays professionally in Europe. He happened to be home and saw a flyer advertising for our church's soccer VBS and called our pastor and asked if he could come speak with the kids. (He also owns a personal soccer training program in our area, and I think he was hoping to do a little advertising) The kids loved it, hearing the encouragement from a professional was a pretty big deal for the kids!

Father's Day
Father's Day started with Addy eating a waffle and Daddy sitting with her, keeping her company.
On the way to church, talking to Grandpa:
Addy and Daddy:
After church Addy and I made breakfast for Steven. We made egg McMuffins, only better than McDonald's version ;)
Then Steven got his gift out of the box, a new air compressor!
After dinner, we went to Sweet CeCe's for ice cream. Dad's got a free cup on Father's Day!
It was a fun day hanging out and celebrating one of the best dads I know! We love you!

Second Week of June
Addy went to a birthday party for one of her friends from school, Brycen. It was at the inflatable play place, so she was super excited.
Addy and Kylie discovered how much fun a "wind machine" could be! They laughed so hard having their hair blown.
Happy 4th Birthday, Brycen!
We joined our friends, Ben and Jessica, in having a garage sale at their house, and it was pretty successful. We were pleased with everything we were able to sell.
The kiddos played and watched a movie:
Ben's work truck brought a lot of business our way. He parked it at the entrance of their subdivision, and it definitely caught people's attention. Most talked about topic of the day for sure!
After we wrapped up the sale, the boys discovered a snake on the back porch! Addy and I took our picture with it to show how brave we were ;) It's not like it could've done anything to us at that point anyway!
The boys even measured it...6 ft long!
That evening Mackenzie babysat for us while we went out to a movie with Jen and Chris. She even brought her birthday cake that was left over from her sleepover. Chris made it, and it was delicious as usual.
A few days later we celebrated Kenzie's 13th birthday at Olive Garden. It was a fun time out as usual! The girls enjoying their first virgin strawberry daiquiri:
Presents!
This year for Kenzie's gift, I took her shopping and let her pick out her own gifts. We had a fun time together, finishing up with Starbucks. It's hard to believe she's 13 already, what a fun and sweet girl she is! Welcome to the teen years, Kenzie!

First Week of June (Recital Weekend)
Grandma and Grandpa L. came down for the weekend and brought Addy a new wig...an Ariel wig!
Grandpa got in on the fun too:
They also brought Addy a new kite. Grandma's showing Addy how it works, in her pajamas ;)
When it was time to get ready for the recital, Steven offered to get Addy dressed. I laughed when they both came to me and Addy said, "Mommy, these straps don't feel right". It was on backwards :)
All better:
We put make-up on once we got to the recital since we had to get there so early.
When it was time to dance, Addy did very well. She was very careful to always stay on her mark on the stage. She practiced that way in class, too. It was very cute how staying on her "x" took priority over keeping up with the dance ;)
After they finished their dance, each dancer skipped out to the middle of the stage to say their name and age:
Our little star after the show:
Addy's fan club that was able to be there:
It was so nice that this studio was able to stream the recital live on the internet so Grandma and Grandpa E. were able to watch too!
Addy with her dance teachers, Mrs. Renee and Ms. Mary Beth:
After the recital everyone came over to our house. Addy and Katie checked out one of the two horses our neighbors behind us recently brought home.
Then the girls went swimming, and it was cold! But they did it and had fun!
Sunday we went to church and then Addy and Grandma played with play doh. It was Grandma's last day with us. Grandpa was staying a few more days.
Playing doctor:
Grandpa stayed an extra few days to help us out with Addy. Ms. Wendy was on vacation. They spent a lot of time outside!
They had coffee and hot chocolate on the back porch in the mornings:
Addy learned some new tricks on the swing set! She did really well, kicking her feet up there on her own and flipping over to get down.
