Adeline Joy is Here!

We are so excited to have our Addy here! We came to the hospital on Sunday morning after my water broke, but she wasn't born until 7:36 on Monday morning. We ended up with a c-section after a whole day and night of only progressing to 8 cm. We really didn't care how she came into this world, as long as she was safe and healthy. God certainly blessed us with a very healthy little girl. She weighed in at 8 lbs 3.5 oz. She's 21.5 inches long, too! Her feet definitely come from her dad's side of the family, very long and lean feet and long toes!

We also had her baptized last night, what an amazing experience! It was so special and incredibly emotional for us. Our pastor and friend, along with his wife, came to the hospital and baptized her in our room. What a big day for Addy! Baptized into God's family less than 12 hours after birth! We'll be celebrating her baptism with an affirmation at church at the end of April.

Here are some pictures from yesterday and today.

Still Pregnant!

This is the picture we took for 39 weeks. It's not the most flattering, that's for sure...but it was taken at 10:30 at night! We had a doctor appointment yesterday and the doctor said that I'm almost 2 cm dilated. She said she's 75% sure I won't make it to next Wednesday's appointment. We shall see! We did set an induction date for March 30, but we're hoping we won't need that! I'm still feeling fine, just getting really anxious to see our little Clover! And, I do keep reminding Clover when she's trying to stretch, that there's only one way out and then she can really stretch! She, obviously, hasn't taken my advice yet!

38 Weeks

The doctor appointment went well this week. I'm still dilated at 1 cm. My doctor wanted to confirm that Clover wasn't breech, so I had an ultrasound to confirm that she is, indeed, head down. The ultrasound wasn't very exciting this time, there's just no room for her to move around, so we couldn't really see much. But, we did confirm she's head down and the lump that usually sticks out on the upper left side of my stomach is her rear end! It's what I suspected, but it was fun to know for sure!

Here's the picture we took this week.

Nursery Pictures

Here are some pictures of the nursery so far. My aunt, Diane, made the quilt and the crib skirt for us! It turned out so cute, we just love it. I need to add some accessories above the changing table and on the shelf, but that will come with time! It's hard to tell in some of these pictures, but the walls are yellow, Hawthorne Yellow, to be exact. The Bible verse above the crib will be her baptism verse. The sign above the window says "I am a dream come true". And she most certainly is! We can't wait to meet her!

Finally, The Requested Pictures!

Wow, it only took me a little more than 5 months to do this! Many of you have requested belly pictures along the way, and I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get this blog updated! I thought I'd start with the latest picture, taken this week at 37 weeks, and work my way back to the first picture we took at 13 weeks.

Things are going really well. I had a doctor appointment on Wednesday, and I'm dilated to 1 cm. Which, I know, doesn't really mean anything, but we're getting there! We're definitely excited to be so close to "d-day"! I think we're pretty much ready for her to come any time. We're still working on decorating her room, but that is coming along too. I'll post pictures of the nursery in the next blog...which won't take me 5 months, I promise!
