New-to-Us Swingset

We scored a great deal on a 2006 Rainbow play set. We got it through friends of friends a few months ago, but it's been sitting in our driveway all summer waiting on some replacement pieces. We're glad it's finally set up so we can use it! The big canopy still needs to be replaced, but that should be replaced in a few weeks.

So far, Addy's favorite part is the swings. She LOVES swinging, on the big swings! And she does a really well with it. Here's a little video of Addy on the swing. Bare with me, the focus goes in and out, but it's the best I've got and Addy's cute in it!

She also likes climbing up to the clubhouse and sliding down! It's a pretty steep slide for her right now, so she won't be going solo for a little while.

First Trip to the Circus

Sorry for the short hiatus, it's been a busy week and I haven't had access to the computer...translation, my husband has been taking it to work with him this week!

Anyway, we took the girls to the circus last weekend! Our neighbors had extra tickets, and offered them to us! It was the first time any of them had been to the circus and they all had so much fun! We all did!

Elephant rides were $10/person and pony rides were $8/person, so we didn't do that, but we did take pictures just to pretend we did! The older girls were happy to have a food treat instead.

Mackenzie said her favorite part was the elephants, and Katie said her favorite part was the motorcycles inside the big sphere. Addy, well, she pretty much enjoyed the whole thing and clapped for everything! I was shocked Addy wasn't scared of the loud noises. It was a really fun night, and I'm so glad we got to go!

7th Anniversary

I can't believe we've been married 7 years already! We celebrated over the weekend while Grandma and Grandpa L. were here by going to dinner and a movie. Then to help us celebrate tonight, Jen and Chris made our wedding dinner for us tonight! We basically had Thanksgiving dinner...turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, and bread! It was delicious!

Our family of 3 tonight. We are so blessed!

Feels Like Fall

We've been enjoying some fall-like temps here for a few days, highs in the upper 60s and lows in the upper 30s. Katie asked if we could have a fire. She meant a bonfire, but since no one else was up for it, she settled for us pushing a button to create an instant fire inside!

So sweet! I love this picture.

All of a sudden the other day Addy picked up Mackenzie and Katie's microphone and actually knew what to do with it! It was so cute. We couldn't believe she knew what it was. I don't remember her watching them use it, but maybe she has! What a cute little rock star (multi-tasking with the Wii remote)!

And this is what else has been going on around here:

Weekend Away

Steven and I had a little getaway weekend in Atlanta to see Dave Ramsey's Live Event. We've been big fans of his for a couple years now, and have always wanted to see him in a live event. It was great! We highly recommend it!

While we were away, Addy had a great weekend with Grandma & Grandpa L. and the rest of the gang at home! Grandma finished her radiation treatments last Wednesday and then they flew down Thursday for a long weekend. They stayed pretty busy while we were gone. Addy even experienced some jealousy for the first time! Katie really enjoyed hanging out with my dad, too, so Addy kept really close tabs on him. She didn't like sharing him all the time!

Addy played her piano for Grandma:

The girls did some coloring in the morning, even Addy has gotten into coloring recently:

They went to Peek-A-Boo Playtown:

Played on the back porch, and even ate lunch out there:

Grandma & Grandpa took Addy shoe shopping. This served two purposes, her addiction to shoes and she actually needed some for fall!

And, while shopping Addy took her first carrousel ride!

We all had a great weekend! Unfortunately, Grandma had to fly home today to work this week. Grandpa is staying to watch Addy for us this week while Ms. Wendy is on vacation.
