Boundaries

Well, the time has come...we knew it would be difficult at some point to keep Addy within sight, and now with her crawling as fast as she is, that time has come. With the layout of our house, we really can't just put gates up to keep her in one room, so our friends were very kind to let us borrow their kiddie cage, I mean "play yard". She loves it, can't you tell?

And here she is doing some yoga, or more specifically, the "downward dog" as she plays her keyboard.

She really doesn't mind playing in her new play yard. She thinks it's really funny when her daddy gets in there with her. It is pretty funny since the space isn't that big!

And just one more cute picture of Addy sporting some new pjs:

Tomorrow Addy and I are off to Ft. Myers for the weekend! We're excited to be meeting up with some of our family from MN there, too. I'll post pictures when we get back! Have a great weekend.

Trick or Treat

Addy's first Halloween was pretty fun. Grandma L. flew down to spend the day with us. We tried a new Tex-Mex restaurant, and it was FANTASTIC!!! Absolutely loved it. Addy did, too, since there was so much to look at!

After dinner, we stopped to see Steven at work. Addy was worn out from our afternoon out, only taking a cat nap in her stroller, so this is what we had once we got to Steven: (yes, her pants are unsnapped...Grandma thought she'd be more comfortable that way!)

Unfortunately, Steven had to work the evening of Addy's first Halloween. She wasn't really into it anyway, so it really wasn't that big of a deal. We still got our picture, that's all I cared about! Addy wasn't really into posing for any pictures, though.

I didn't dress Addy up until we got home to go to our neighbors' houses. Again, not totally into posing!

Addy did have one other very SCARY costume to wear this year:

My favorite picture in this scary costume:

Addy, I feel the same way!

Hope you all had a great Halloween!

Weekend Update!

No, not SNL style, but I'm a bit behind so I'll do my best to catch up. Grandma & Grandpa L. were here from Wed.-Sat. with Aunt Diane. My mom's siblings all got together in GA for a few days, so they stopped and spent the end of the week with us! They took Addy out sight seeing one day and then they "taught" her to get into things...like the basket of magazines and newspapers. Thanks for that!

Such a happy girl!

We've also been having some absolutely perfect fall weather, and we've been enjoyin it! Here's Addy playing outside:

Now, for a few of my favorite pictures...our little snuggle bug:

This is how she woke up one morning! She pulled the blankets into the crib with her (they were hanging over the side of the crib) and then she gathered up the two pillows that are at the end of the crib and she layed there all snuggled in! So cute!

Our little darling is getting faster and faster every day with her crawling. She's really trying hard to figure out how to pull herself up on things, too. She's figured out how to do it in the bathtub. In her crib, she's only figured out how to get to her knees. But, now when she doesn't want to go to sleep she'll just sit in her crib and look out or get to her knees and not figure out how to get back down. So, Steven had to lower her crib to it's lowest setting! It's so funny to see her way down in the crib now!

Halloween Fun

Last Sunday we joined some friends at the zoo for some halloween fun. It was a great chance to get another use of Addy's costume. It was a really nice fall evening, falling into the 40s after the sun went down. Addy's bumble bee costume is perfect for that weather. She was nice and warm! The only thing that was cold was her nose. I was a little surprised she tolerated the hat the whole time, but she never complained about it at all. She had a great time taking it all in. She only cracked one or two smiles the whole evening because she concentrated so hard on what was going on around her. It was kind of funny. There were some mascots walking around the zoo and she liked them...not in a "I'll give you a smile" kind of way, but more "let me chew on your fuzzy hands" kind of way. Her favorite thing was that one of the booths gave out glow bracelets. She loved that! Here's some pictures of our fun night at the zoo!
